FRIENDS OF NRA OVERVIEW
Friends of NRA is a
grassroots fund-raising program developed to raise funds for
The NRA Foundation, a 501-(c)(3) tax-exempted
organization. The
program’s fund-raising events are fun, family oriented
gatherings organized by thousands of volunteers nationwide
with the help of the NRA’s professional staff. 7,115 Friends of NRA
events will have been held since the program’s inception in
the fall of 1992, reaching over 1,297,577 shooters, hunters
and other firearm enthusiasts in their own communities.
To date, over $70 million net
has been raised for The NRA Foundation through this dynamic
program funding important projects such as: youth shooting
programs, hunter education, range development and
improvements, safety and marksmanship training, wildlife
conservation, and endowments for the future of the shooting
sports.
By participating in
Friends of NRA, sponsors get a chance to expose their
talents and products while attendees enjoy an evening of
camaraderie-- all in the support of raising funds to
perpetuate our American shooting sports hunting
tradition.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Friends of
NRA grassroots fund-raising program is designed to
introduce and affirm the rights and privileges of lawful fun
ownership to hometown America. True to the tradition
of the original town meetings and organized by community
volunteers from every walk of life, these events will provide
participants and opportunity to stand up for the Second
Amendment and enjoy the comradery of other law-abiding gun
owners. Proceeds
from these fund-raising events will be used at the local,
state and national level to perpetuate firearms ownership for
hunting, shooting, collecting, home protection, and all other
legal
purposes.
